About Us
Kent and Cay Hutton have been in the jewelry business for
many years, and combined they have over 50 years of jewelry experience.
It all started when Kent worked his way through college selling jewelry. Later, Cay convinced Kent to let her do his gift wrapping during the Christmas season, and they've been together ever since! They had a jewelry store together in Roswell New Mexico for 14 years. No, they didn't see any aliens, but their dog, Hapa resembles Yoda! Kent & Cay made the "big move" to Maui 16 years ago. When they first arrived, Kent managed a jewelry store, and Cay dabbled in an art gallery for a while. They saw a need for a unique fine jewelry store on Maui and on St. Patrick's day, 1997 Hutton's Fine Jewelers of Maui opened in Kahana, West Maui. Our manager, Cathy von Martynow was with us that first day, and has stayed with us ever since! Originally from South Africa, Cathy and her husband Claus (he's from Austria) moved to Maui to open the Hyatt, where Claus was the head pastry chef. Cathy worked in various positions around the island before she became part of the Hutton's family. She is an accomplished free diver and spear fisherwoman.
When you visit Maui, please stop in for a visit. Kent and Cay are spending most of their time in the Lahaina store, and will be here to answer any questions and to "talk story" with you. Before long, you'll feel like an old friend! Of course our staff at the Kahana Store are very knowledgeable as well, and are happy to assist you. We're all looking forward to visiting with you! |

Since
March of 1997, Hutton's Fine Jeweler's of Maui have provided an exceptional
selection of fine, designer jewelry.
The Hutton's have recently expanded, and now Hutton's Fine Jewelers has
a new location in Lahaina. The new location features important diamonds
and fine designer jewelry. The original location in Kahana, now called
Hutton's Jewelry &Art, features mid-priced designer jewelry, as well as,
art by local artists.
