About Us Since March of 1997, Hutton's Jewelers has provided an exceptional selection of fine, designer jewelry.
Kent & Cay made the "big move" to Maui 18 years ago. When they first arrived, Kent managed a jewelry store, and Cay dabbled in an art gallery for a while. They saw a need for a unique fine jewelry store on Maui and on St. Patrick's day, 1997 Hutton's Jewelers opened in Kahana, West Maui. After many years in Kahana, and a temporary move to Lahaina, Hutton's has found their new location in the Kapalua Resort.
Originally from South Africa, Cathy and her husband Claus (he's from Austria) moved to Maui to open the Hyatt, where Claus was the head pastry chef. Cathy worked in various positions around the island before she became part of the Hutton's family. She is an accomplished free diver and spear fisherwoman. Cathy was with us on our opening day, and has stayed with us ever since!
Renee S. Bayes - Director of Marketing Renee moved here from Chicago, Illinois in 2003 with her contractor husband, Steve. She joined the Hutton's staff in 2006. Renee is responsible for this website, writes our newsletter, and designs many o our ads. We've recently added another responsibility to her list, she's now a sales person as well!
Andrea worked for us years ago, then decided to move to the mainland with her musician husband, George. When she heard we were moving the store to Kapalua, she decided to come back to work for us!
Lara Kelly - Sales Person Lara may be our newest employee, but was lucky enough to grow up here on Maui. She has years of experience selling fine watches, and will be helping us all get up to speed with our new watch lines.
Laura has been our bookkeeper for many, many years. Her husband, Kirk is a minister (he performed the ceremony when Kent & Cay renewed their vows). In addition to bookkeeping, Laura was part of Kent's construction crew, remodeling the new store.

Kent and Cay Hutton have
over 50 years of combined experience in the jewelry business. Kent worked his way through college
selling jewelry. Later, Cay convinced Kent to let her do his gift
wrapping during the Christmas season, and they've been together ever since!
They had a jewelry store together in Roswell New Mexico
for 14 years. No, they didn't see any aliens, but their dog, Hapa
resembles Yoda!
